William de Morgan, Tile panel with Blue Peacocks, c.1888-98
This stunning tile panel in glowing blues, greens, and oranges was produced at William de Morgan’s factory in Sands End, Fulham. These tiles show several of the features which made de Morgan’s designs so striking and popular, including the bold use of animal forms and the Islamic-influenced swirls that form the border pattern.
The box size is 230mm x 330mm x 50mm.
The finished jigsaw is 480mm x 680mm.
