John James Audubon, Carolina Parakeets from The Birds of America, c.1827
Audubon was an artist and naturalist, and his magnum opus The Birds of America is considered one of the most important ornithological works ever completed. The Fitzwilliam Museum is fortunate to hold a copy of this wonderful collection of illustrations. This puzzle shows the Carolina parakeet, a species of bird that very sadly became extinct in 1918.
The box size is 230mm x 330mm x 50mm.
The finished jigsaw is 480mm x 680mm.
